DOT compliance management
Monthly compliance administration for owner-operators and fleets of up to about 4 power units.
- Available remotely, all 50 states: For owner-operators and small fleets
DOT compliance is a lot of paperwork: driver files, testing records, Clearinghouse queries, medical cards and renewals. Missing one item can cause problems at an audit.
Our compliance management plans cover the basic administration: we keep your driver and company deadlines on a calendar, keep your files in order, and coordinate your testing program. For a full outsourced safety department, see managed fleet safety.
Who this is for
- Owner-operators who would rather drive than do paperwork
- Small fleets without a safety manager
What we need from you
- Your USDOT number and company details
- Your current driver files and testing records, in any condition
Owner-operator plan
For one driver and one power unit. Includes:
- Setup review of your driver qualification file and company records
- A deadline calendar with reminders: medical card, license, annual driving record review, annual Clearinghouse query and other dates you give us
- Random testing program coordination (consortium membership is billed separately)
- Help running your Clearinghouse queries
- A monthly status email: what is current, what is due in the next 60 days, what is missing
- Phone, text and email help during business hours
Small fleet plan
For up to 3 power units, with each added unit billed monthly. Includes everything in the owner-operator plan for every driver, plus:
- Driver file tracking for each driver, including new hires and terminations
- A quarterly check of every driver file
- Pre-employment testing and Clearinghouse query coordination for new hires
Not included in these plans
- ELD and hours of service reviews, maintenance record tracking, CSA monitoring and DataQs help (these are part of managed fleet safety)
- Mock audits, audit preparation and corrective action plans (one-time services)
- Rebuilding files that are badly incomplete (driver file rebuild, from a per-driver price)
- Vendor charges: drug and alcohol tests, consortium membership, MVRs and Clearinghouse query fees
- Your company stays responsible for its own compliance. We do not guarantee audit results, a CSA score change, or that every violation will be prevented.
Your responsibilities
- Send us new documents when you get them
- Tell us about new hires, terminations, crashes and inspections
- Make all hiring and compliance decisions
How to start
